In Year 2 we have had lots of fun.  In Term 1 we learnt about habitats in science and had an exciting trip to Wakehurst Place.  The Pond Dipping was great and we found lots of mysterious little creatures.  We also we went down to Heathfield High Street and looked at the different shops there.  We all liked the cafes! Then we made some tour buses that advertised different places in Heathfield.  Our buses had moving axles and fixed axles.

At Christmas we put on a hilarious performance to our parents all about the Christmas story.  The play was called Cock-a Doodle Christmas and we enjoyed putting on lots of funny voices for our characters!

In Terms 3 and 4, we learnt about Judaism.  The best bit was when we visited the Synagogue in Hove and Gwen showed us the incredible Torahs in the Ark.  Some of them cost thousands of pounds.  We also learnt about Tocuaro in Mexico.  That was really interesting and we loved our Mexican food afternoon, especially Mr Best's spicy vegetable chilli!

In Terms 5 and 6, we've really enjoyed learning about the seaside.  We went to Hastings and had a great day by the beach.  The Cliff railway was really steep but it has a stunning view of the town.  We also  met our buddies from Castledown school for lunch.  It was a bit scary at first because we didin't know what to say to them, but when we played some games we had great fun.  We can't wait to meet them again, when they come to visit our Tourist Office of Hastings.
