Year 6 highlights

One of the biggest highlights of Year 6 has been the residential trip to Kingswood. Having travelled by coach to Portsmouth, we boarded the ferry and undertook a bumpy journey to the Isle of Wight! During the week we enjoyed lots of different exciting activities such as: 3G swing, Leap of Faith, archery and zip wire. Although the week was exhausting, everyone had a really ecstatic time.
At beginning of term 5, we took the dreaded SATs tests! The whole year gave 110% effort and concentration for the entire week and we are all delighted with how hard we have worked in preparation for them.
Year 6 children are now confident cyclists thanks to the Bike Ability course. We learnt many techniques and skills including indicating left and right and minor and major turns. Everyone was pleased to know that they passed not only their level 1, but also level 2!
Year 6 are intending to leave Cross in Hand with a bang – get ready for Twee! (our musical production)
