We are delighted that you have taken the trouble to look round our website.  We hope you find it interesting and useful.  Cross-in-Hand C.E. Primary School is a happy, friendly school situated within landscaped grounds on the edge of the town of Heathfield. 

     We are a voluntary controlled Church of England School linked closely with St Bartholomew's Church.

     Our building is modern and purpose built. We have 14 classrooms, two halls, an air-conditioned library and ICT suite, a sports field and an open air, heated swimming pool.  Within our grounds there is also a pre-school which takes children from 2 ½ years.  Our school has 361 children aged between 4 and 11 years.  They come from all parts of Heathfield and the surrounding villages. Our average class size is 25.  Each class is single-age and has its own teacher and teaching assistant.

     We provide a range of services to support our children and families, including a Breakfast Club, courses for parents, a mother and baby group and a variety of after-school activities for children of all ages.
